Mark specializes in fly fishing and caters to all experience levels.
In addition to trout fishing, Mark provides guided fishing tours for Quinnat (Chinook) salmon on several South Island east coast rivers. The salmon average is 13-16lbs, with fish 20-35lbs not uncommon. Runs begin in December and go to the end of April. The better time is February through mid-April. A minimum of 2 days but preferably 4-6 days give you the best chance of catching a New Zealand Quinnat salmon. An added attraction to going salmon fishing is the opportunity to use different tackle and to fish for large sea run brown trout (4-10lbs+). Salmon fishing trips can be combined with trout fishing. This combo provides anglers with an interesting selection of experiences.
