Great Alaska Adventure is located on the World Famous Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. It is ideally situated to be able to take advantage both coasts for fishing, and kayaking or on the river for freshwater fishing. It is an ideal location for family groups, corporate awards or meetings or professional seminars as well as individuals. It is a destination that is as laid-back as you want it to be with no required number of days or strict schedules.
You will be accommodated in comfortable riverside cabins or in the Lodge rooms depending on your preference. The Lodge and cabins can accommodate from 1 to 60. With above average meals and beautiful surroundings together with great fishing opportunities, this trip will be a memorable and relaxing time.
We pride ourselves on offering you a variety of fishing opportunities with our experienced fishing guides. When one thinks of Alaska Salmon fishing trips, one naturally thinks of the Kenai River and the world famous, trophy sized King salmon. There are however, a couple of options for fishing. There are the waters of the Pacific or the fresh waters of the Kenai River. King, Silver, and Sockeye Salmon, Dolly Varden, Rainbow Trout, or even Halibut may be on your angling agenda when you take the Great Alaska Adventure. Halibut fishing is action packed and hauling up an average sized Halibut (15-40 pounds) is as much fun as catching a big one, however fish over 100 pounds are caught fairly regularly. The experienced guides will do their best to get you to where the fish are – the rest is up to you!
You will fly into Anchorage. From there you may elect to drive to the Lodge (about 21/2 hours) or take a motor coach, or catch a commuter flight to Kenai where you will be picked up by lodge personnel, or take a float plane Charter direct to the lodge from Anchorage.
In addition to the choices of angling experience you want to have, there is also fresh water or ocean kayaking, hiking, biking, National Park tours, The Bear Camp for bear watching- in the National Park, which can be arranged through the Lodge.
