Salvelinus offers 2 lodges from which to have a fishing adventure of a lifetime. The scenery throughout this area of Spain is simply spectacular. The prime season in Spanish Pyrenees is early June to late August.

Accommodations

There are 2 options for lodging:  Aren is a small village of the eastern Pyrenees, set at the border between Aragon and Cataluña. The Main Lodge is in the middle of Aren, a small Pre-Pyrenean village of some 290 inhabitants, most of whom are involved in agriculture and dairy farming. The Rural Lodge is 5 minutes by car away from the Main Lodge. Both are very close to the confluence of two main rivers at Pont de Suert. These rivers flow from the nearby Benasque and Boivalleys, where you find National Natural Parks.             The Main Lodge is a Hotel with double rooms, en-suite bathroom and apartments. The meals are first class and the guests appreciate the selection of local products used to prepare it. The food is like the best restaurants in Spain. The guides usually dine with guests each night, unless you prefer another option.  All the rooms are extremely clean, with every service an angler could need, but they are not luxurious. The Main Lodge Dining Room is in the Church Square of Aren, close to the Lodge; the buffet breakfast and exclusive dinner, with fine red wines and a large selection of appetizers. You may choose from different options, including meat and fish dishes, as well as a complete selection of typical desserts from Northern Spain. You may enjoy a ‘wine tasting’ of fine wines from our reserve cellar at an extra charge if you’re a wine lover.

After dinner you will be able to plan the next day with your guide in the Main Lodge and you will be able to drink whatever you want without any extra charge.

The second choice is The Rural Lodge is it is, 3 miles away from the Church Square of Aren. This over 100-year-old rural house was totally redone in 2007, with stone and wood supporting fronts. Set in a totally rural area so you may enjoy nature. It has 4 complete apartments decorated according to the seasons. Part of the former warehouse remains as a reception area, as well as the principal door and former entry of the house. The barn is a 30-square-meter multipurpose meeting room at the disposal of the guests upon request. The original has modern barbecue facilities and a wide yard outdoors at the clients’ disposal. This is a secluded rural setting – no one else around. Breakfast and dinner are served in our Main Lodge Dining Room, in Church Square of Aren. Each morning and night we transfer you by car from the Dining Room to the Rural Lodge. Meals are complete picnics with soft drinks and fine red wine set near the river.
